Healthy Back Tips

  • Exercise regularly. Daily walking can make a big difference.
  • Eat a healthy diet. Proper nutrition controls inflammation and helps the body heal.
  • Maintain good posture, at home and work.
  • Stretch your legs and back before and after strenuous activity.
  • Don’t overload your purse, backpack, or sit on your wallet.
  • Get up and move at least once per hour of sitting.
  • Never cradle the phone between your neck and shoulder.
  • Sleep on your back or side. Stomach sleeping increases your chances of hurting your neck while you sleep.
  • Invest in a good chair, pillow, and mattress.
